EXHIBITOR NEWS: REDFERN LAUNCHES NEW TECH FOR 2017

It’s been another exciting year for Redfern, with yet more money saving technological developments, and the launch of our new website - http://www.redfern-travel.com

Our latest technological innovation will break new ground in the marketplace; the ability to make amendments through our online tracking tool, tRIPS® - making us the only TMC to offer online amendments.  Bookers will not be charged if they are able to make the amendment themselves online, saving the usual offline fee levied by TMCs.

Phase 1 sees the launch of online amendments for GDS booked hotels and air tickets.  Phase 2 (Q2 2017) will see the launch of rebook, cancel and auto-refund of UK rail bookings where terms and conditions permit.

The next stage of the online development pipeline is to replicate the GDS functionality in our APIs with Premier Inn, Travelodge, and web air carriers. This service will also be free of charge if one of our team does not need to make the amendment for you offline. With 1 in 3 hotel bookings requiring some form of amendment this will deliver further savings  to users of tRIPS® .

Our new tRIPS®  app’ is in testing with search, book and basket review functionality, ready to hit the app store Q2 2017, more news on this in the New Year.

tRIPS®  has also undergone a look and feel refresh with simplified booking screens and the integration of National Express coaches, offering bookers a comprehensive road, rail and air comparison.  Bookers can review cost, travel time and CO2 factors for upholding corporate policy.

Further development and increased flexibility with our online pre-authorisation modules, when combined with tRIPS responsive yet unobtrusive policy controls, means no breaches or exceptional spend without compromising user experience or choice.

Redfern is exhibiting at the Business Travel Show on 22-23 February 2017 at Olympia London. Visitors can register for a free pass at www.businesstravelshow.com
